Web Accessibility - Now the Law in Illinois

Submitted by Leo Klein on Fri, 8/24/07 (11:25am)

From the MSF&W website:

"The Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA) became law on August 20, 2007, requiring Illinois agencies and universities to ensure that their web sites, systems, and other information technologies are accessible to people with disabilities."

Basically the law builds on familiar precedents such as Section 508 and WCAG.
